Knitting with fingering weight yarn is a favorite past-time of many a knitter. Nowadays it is very easy to find the most beautiful hand dyed fingering weight yarn. My stash is probably about 50 percent fingering weight skeins. My favorite thing to knit with fingering weight is a well written shawl pattern. The Study Hall shawl was designed by Sarah Schira and appears in Knitty, First Fall 2018. Simple slipped stitches create the most beautiful color designs. It was hard picking only one of Sarah’s designs to talk about as she has created many, many beautiful patterns. I highly encourage you to check her out..especially if you like gnomes!
